We are thrilled to announce that our selfless founder, Leo Zerhusen, will be awarded the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County’s Lifetime Achievement Award on Nov. 3, at the Foundation’s Celebration of Philanthropy in Annapolis.

Leo saw a void in serving people in our area who need furniture, housewares, and clothing, and created a way to solve the problem by founding HOPE For All. His simple solution was for people to donate their “extras”, and HOPE would, in turn, redistribute these essentials back out into the community. HOPE was also designed to work side-by-side in support of agencies and nonprofits who directly serve people who are struggling.

Over the years, thousands of adults and children in Anne Arundel County have Leo to thank for a bed to sleep on, a new pair of shoes, dishes in their kitchen, or a comfortable chair in their home. His Christian faith compelled him to ensure that people’s basic needs were met as he worked tirelessly for others. He has inspired many, many people with his profound commitment to the community.
